Helloooo you lovely soon-to-be-weds!
I’ve compiled a list of top tips that I think could be of use to you.

When planning
Work out what it is you want, and prioritise that. At the end of the day, this is your literal wedding day!
Make a wedding-orientated email address that you can both use to book everything with, otherwise things could get missed. For example benandjerryswedding@ldillonphotography.com
Don’t feel you have to stick to rules or traditions! Wanna do a first look? Do it!
Don’t want to wear a white dress? Don’t! Don’t want to do speeches? Don’t! It’s your day
Be a little ruthless with the guestlist. Does family-friend Auntie Jane who you haven’t seen in 10 years reeeeally need to come?
Think about supplying blankets, flipflops (dancing in heels is hard!), bottled water for guests, especially the older ones.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help, advice, or support
Do you need anything to occupy kids? A magician, colouring books, a game area?
Make an absolutely bangin’ list of songs to request from the DJ (ahead of time) – Come on Eileen, Hollaback Girl, and any Grease songs are a big YES from me!
Need some recommendations of other suppliers? I have a recommendation list – people I’ve worked with and really like. Or, ask friends who got married locally, ask your venue, or ask on a local FB group!

On the day
Try and not sweat the small stuff – if something’s gone wrong, it’s probably too late to fix it.
Accept that it’s happened and go enjoy your day
When you are at the top of the aisle, standing together getting married, please take a split second to make sure you’re both central. This helps with photos!
Take a moment together, just the two of you, to relish in the moment. You’ve just gotten married!
Don’t forget to go to the bathroom before you get into your dress! But for later on – google the IKEA bag wedding dress hack. It can hold the whole dress up so you can go to the toilet with ease!
Speeches – limit the speakers to 5 minutes max to save your guests from a snoozefest.
If you’re nervous about a first dance, plan to have someone set off a confetti canon (or 5) during it, then you’ll be anticipating that rather than focusing on people watching you dance
Have a boogie – this is your day!

I hope that this can be of some help 🥰
All the best,
