Jem & Laurie got married back in August of 2023 at Wonwood Barton near Tavistock.
It was a beautiful wedding, with wild weather and hilariously energetic evening celebrations. It was an honour to document their wedding as I have known Jemima since school.

Jem got ready at her family’s home in Mary Tavy with her parents and bridesmaids. It was a super chilled morning, with Emily & Bridgette of The Looking Glass doing the bridal party’s make up.

What a windy day! On the way over to Wonwood Barton (about 7 miles) there were multiple branches in the road with debris all over the place too. A little hectic, but we all made it there safely.
The lovely cellist – Janna Bulmer – had to relocate to inside of the wooden pergola to avoid her cello getting wet, and a groomsman had to hold her music book as the pages wouldn’t stop flapping otherwise!
The drizzle and high winds didn’t ease up, but it was a fun experience and everyone was prepared with coats and umbrellas anyway (even if they did go inside out!)

The beautiful ceremony of Jem & Laurie.
During the ceremony, the weather just couldn’t make up its mind, but these two were sure about each other. Drizzle, wind, sunshine, whatever the weather, these two got MARRIED 🥳

Time for confetti then drinks in the courtyard!

We did some group photos in the courtyard, where I was able to get some height for the photos from the stairs to enable everyone to be visible! We then did the bridal party ones on the grass to add some variety.
PS – group photos don’t have to be boring!

A beautiful set up for the reception. Jem’s dad and family created the beautiful garland, and her gran and family organised all of the florals!

While their guests made their way into the marquee, I took Jem & Laurie off for some couple photos. This allowed them to have a moment together and take it all in, and I managed to get some cute photos in the meantime!

Such emotional speeches, you could feel the love in the room.

The wonderful food was provided by Lydford Farm Shop. I think it’s wonderful when it’s a sharing platter type of meal!

The most chaotic bouquet toss I’ve ever seen and will likely ever see.
A round of applause to Jem’s cousin who originally caught it, and to her sister Izzy who very slyly stole it away.

How could we NOT take a few more couple photos when we were b l e s s e d with this gorgeous sunset?!

Another highlight of the day – a PROSECCO GUN.
Speechless. Look at these photos! This Prosecco gun brought SO much entertainment to myself and all of the guests. What an absolute winner.

Such wonderful celebrations, everyone had such a great time partying. The Morzim provided the fab live music!

Jem & Laurie’s wedding was such a joyous celebration and a wonderful party.
It was wonderful to witness them being celebrated by their nearest and dearest.
I wish you all the happiness x
