Oh what a JOY this whole day was!

Alison & Dave got married at Bradstone Manor, near Tavistock, in September of 2024.
The whole day was a colourful flurry of laughter, dancing, and fun. And – no rain!

Bradstone Manor is one of my favourite local venues, as you may have already seen!
(I even did a blog post about having weddings at this venue, and it’s featured in my Top Local Wedding Venues blog post). I’m forever recommending newly engaged couples to look into this place. It’s a DIY venue but honestly you don’t need to really do anything as it’s such a stunning place.

Alison & her bridal party got ready in the main house’s lounge & dining rooms, which allowed them to sneakily watch any ceremony preparations from the windows. It was a super chilled out morning, with Emma Collyer Make Up Artist doing Alison’s hair and make up.

Dave was greeting guests in the courtyard, all ready and excited to see Alison at the top of the aisle.

Alison & Dave wanted their ceremony to be in front of this gorgeous yellow tree – don’t ask me what it is as I haven’t the foggiest – and WOW doesn’t it all look stunning?

Next up – confetti time!

Such a chilled out few hours and lovely weather too. The tractor in the courtyard provided much entertainment, for the kids and adults alike!

Eugh how PRETTY is all of this?!
Beautiful florals by Wildmoor Flowers.

I took the large group photo straight after the confetti, to ensure that everyone was around, no one had gone to change their shoes, nipped off to the toilets etc. It’s ideal as I can take this from the balcony of the barn!

The rest of the group photos were done around the grounds. We walked down the lane for the immediate family ones, then went back to the orchard area by the house for the bridal party ones.

Touching speeches followed by food. Alison’s dad provided a tear-jerker, followed by the best man and then the groom himself.

The food from Astridges Catering was a biiiig hit, look how good it all looks!
And I can confirm, it tasted just as good.
The little flowers all along the table were also by Wildmoor Flowers, they had some of the DIY buckets of flowers and put them into the little bud vases with friends and family.

After the food, most people wandered back out into the sunny courtyard for some fresh air.

I took Alison & Dave off for some lovely couple photos, heading to the field by which the car park and camping area is. The trees there are lovely, and it’s nice for the couple to take a moment away and to just be together (with me third-wheeling 😂)

The dancing! Alison & Dave had their party in the downstairs of the barn, and this was lovely as it could spill out to the courtyard. Outside was a fire pit and the bar! This lovely Sherpard’s Hut is so cute.

A super fun and informal cake cut! Then back to the partying 💃

As you may be able to tell from this blog post, I REALLY enjoyed documenting Alison & Dave’s wedding. Their family and friends were so inviting, and everyone was just in such a lovely giddy mood.
I wish you all the best, Alison, Dave & Ted x
